5. Photography During Tours

Our photographer Hedda follows the coastline on all tours and captures images from the clifftops along the route. By joining the tour you acknowledge that photos may be taken. You are never obligated to purchase them. If you do not wish to appear in any images, please inform your guide at check-in and we will respect that request.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we do everything reasonably practicable to protect your information.

7. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on this page. We recommend checking this page periodically.

1. General

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in all tours and activities operated by BlueWave SUP Tours (RNAAT nº 135/2026), based in Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal. By making a reservation or joining a tour, you agree to these terms in full.

2. Meeting Point & Check-In

All tours depart from Praia dos Arrifes, Albufeira. Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time for equipment fitting and briefing. Late arrival may result in forfeiture of your spot without refund.

3. Participation Requirements

Participation is open to guests aged 8 and above (under-14s must be accompanied by an adult). Participation is not permitted for guests who:

• Are under the influence of alcohol or any narcotics
• Have a medical condition that could be aggravated by physical activity on water (please consult your doctor if unsure)
• Refuse to wear the provided personal flotation device (PFD/life jacket)

BlueWave SUP Tours reserves the right to refuse participation to any guest who poses a safety risk to themselves or others.

4. Safety & Equipment

All guests are required to wear the provided life jacket for the full duration of the tour. BlueWave SUP Tours provides wide-stable SUP boards, adjustable paddles, board leashes, and waterproof phone pouches. Equipment is inspected and serviced regularly. Guests must treat rented equipment with care and return it in the same condition. Any damage caused by negligence may be charged to the guest.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

• Cancellation by guest: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure. Full refund guaranteed. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable, except in cases of verified medical necessity.
• Cancellation by BlueWave: If we cancel a tour due to adverse sea or weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be offered. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.

6. Weather & Sea Conditions

Tours only operate in safe sea and weather conditions. BlueWave SUP Tours monitors marine forecasts daily. If conditions are unsuitable, guests will be notified at least 3 hours before departure. The decision to cancel or proceed rests solely with the guide.

7. Liability

BlueWave SUP Tours holds all required insurance and is licensed by Turismo de Portugal (RNAAT nº 135/2026). We are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings during activities. Guests participate at their own risk, subject to the safety measures and supervision provided by our guide.

8. Photography

Our photographer Hedda follows the coastline on all tours and captures images from clifftop positions along the route. These photos are available for purchase after the tour — guests are under no obligation to buy. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the guide at check-in.

By joining any tour you acknowledge that BlueWave SUP Tours may use anonymised or consented images for promotional purposes. If you do not consent to your image being used, please advise us in writing before the tour.

9. Pricing

All prices are per person and include VAT at the applicable legal rate. BlueWave SUP Tours reserves the right to change prices at any time. The price at the time of confirmed booking will always be honoured.

10. Personal Data

Personal data collected during the booking process is used solely to process your reservation and communicate tour details. Data is not shared with third parties or used for marketing without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
